Cuz she flips from one side to another easily, one moment she is worried about an injured person on the street and wants to help her, bu the moment she found out she is an anthroid she completely changed and didn’t gave a damn anymore
Do you remember Ozzy and Millie by Dana Simpson? It was a cool fun comic, and then she started writing Raine Dog. Which was … terribly preachy. I’m not saying Hey Kitty is that bad, but it has done a Sinfest turnaround compared to your earlier comics and it was quite a jarring change. Kitty just threw away all her connections – not just with Fox, but with everybody else she knew as well. Just before she left pretty much everyone was treating her as a person, then as soon as she was gone everyone treats her like an object. :/
You’re right. And that’s why Hey Kitty is her own comic, and Hey Fox is still putting along with the jokes and whatnot. ^.^
As to the jarring change in direction, it is one if he difficulties if format here. One of the big questions we had to answer in building Hey Kitty was one of how we tell a long form story, one page at a time. What we settled on was, just do it.
We could have compressed the story beats so each page took you to the next emotional step, but we went the way do the graphics novel instead. It means there are going to be months where we are still in the same scene or emotional low, but in the end (I hope) it means that it can be read front to beach wit a much better flow, and more detailed story telling.
As for having something to say vs. being preach, that will always be a fine line to walk, but I hope you’ll stick with us for a while and that we can pull it off. ^.^
Anthroid (Cat-bot): Kitty, currently running Snow Leopard, is a Artificial Life-simulating Construct from the Pear computer company, though there’s something a little odd about her.
We have a word for people like that mouse lady: PANQUEQUE
Wait…doesn’t that translate to “pancake?” I think I’m missing something.

Ah! Now that totally makes sense! Thanks!
Bad mouse lady, Synths need help and attention to.

Never read Hey Fox, this comic is awesome, don’t change a thing about what you’re doing.
